Continuing the successful boogies of the last years, Skydive Center Spa will again move its activities to Castellon in Spain. We will be in Castellon from the 24^th of December 2010 to the 2^th of January 2011and then again from the 3^st to the 13^st of March 2011.

We will bring our two Cessna Caravan !

Skydivers of all disciplines are welcome!

Jumps are 22€ + 3€ if load organizing.

Learning to jump

Of course beginners are also welcome! We will organize AFF courses during both periods, a great chance to get your licence during the winter.

We offer a complete package: the ground school, 7 jumps with instructors, insurance for the year 2011 and the licence, first solo jump, as well as 8 nights in the hotel (including breakfast and dinner) for 1550€ in a double room and 1650€ in a single room.

Again, we have booked the whole hotel Intur Azor to accommodate the skydivers and their families. The prices are modest: 37€ per person in a double room and 50€ per person in a single room. These prices include breakfast as well as dinner! Children up to the age of 2 years stay for free, and there is a discount of 25% for children aged 2-10 years old.

On New Years Eve, there will be a big party in the hotel!

The dropzone is situated 60km north of Valencia and 10 minutes from the centre of Castellon. The climate during the winter is very pleasant, with daytime temperatures up to 20 degrees. Framed by mountains and located right by the sea, the dropzone's location makes for a true family holiday as well.

Our hotel is situated along the beach road, 4km from the dropzone. The hotel offers plenty of comfort, a heated pool, a sauna, a gym and other things.

Traveling to Castellon:
The airport of Valencia ("Manises") has direct flights to most important cities and is served by several budget airlines. The airport is located 10 km. from the city of Valencia. A taxi from the airport to the centre of the city should cost €15 approx. There is a very good connection between Valencia ("Estacion del norte") and Castellon (a train every single hour).

Another possibility is flying to Barcelona, which is 290 km's. north of Castellon. The international airport of Barcelona ("El Prat") is bigger than Manises and is better connected to international destinations. There are also a number of trains each day from Barcelona to Castellon. In Barcelona the airport is connected with the main train station ("Sants") by train.

Car hire is available form most airports and the rates start at 14€ per day.

Bonjour à tous,
Werner et Dominique ont annulé l'événement SPA-Cahors à cause du mauvais temps, en effet il n'y aurait p-ê qu'une seule belle journée et ce serait le dimanche.  Spa ne va donc pas prendre le risque de se déplacer pour une seule journée de saut à Cahors.  Nous espérons que ce n'est que partie remise pour l'année prochaine.  Le centre de Spa sera donc bien ouvert ce dernier week-end d'octobre.

Hello everyone!
We would like to inform you on the recent developments regarding the closure of the aerodrome Spa, as announced by minister of environment Henry.
Today a meeting was held between the SOWAER (the agency responsible for the airports in the Walllon region), representatives of the city of Spa and the operators at the airport.
During this meeting, the SOWAER announced that the closure of the airport will be valid from the 19th of February.
At the same time, the SOWAER expressed intentions to continue the dialogue with the Wallon government to reach an agreement on the further exploitation of the airport. A meeting is scheduled for Thursday the 21st of February and the future of the airport will be on the agenda of a cabinet meeting the same day. They will strive to obtain a temporary permit for the continuation of all activities. A demand for a permanent operation permit is also in preparation.
Meanwhile, we are examining the case and possible legal action.
We will keep everyone updated on the developments.
